Workshops for Writers - February 7: The Poetics of Prose

Join the St. Louis Writers Guild from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST on Saturday, February 7, 2026, for a free workshop with Shana Youngdahl. She will offer an immersive discussion on how to apply tricks of the poetry trade in writing fiction and memoirs. In this workshop, Shana will lead participants through her journey from poet to novelist and offer exercises to help writers of any genre benefit from thinking like a poet.

Our presenter, Shana Youngdahl, will join us LIVE for this FREE workshop. We will gather at The Lodge Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Rd., St. Louis, MO, 63131 for the presentation, or you may attend the meeting online. To do so, follow the event link from the St. Louis Writers Guild website.
