In this presentation, you'll hear from a veteran publicist, Kaitlyn Kennedy of the Kaye Publicity agency in Chicago, who will discuss what authors should be doing ahead of their book launch and at publication to build awareness for their book. You'll hear about the current media landscape, gain tips for landing media coverage and learn how best to collaborate with a publicist to create buzz and garner attention for your book.
Kaitlyn Kennedy has worked as a Publicity Director at Kaye Publicity for over three years and has spent more than a decade as an in-house publicist at Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, and Sourcebooks. Specializing in commercial fiction, she has worked with a wide range of both fiction and nonfiction authors throughout her career and led numerous New York Times bestselling campaigns including Fourth Wing, Orphan Train, The Woman in the Window, All the Gallant Men, Sold on a Monday, and The Only Woman in the Room. She's maintained strong relationships with key media outlets and has landed national placements for clients on CBS This Morning, NBC's Today, Parade Magazine, People Magazine, Washington Post, NPR and more.
