Workshops for Writers-July 13: Bad Book Covers
Bad Book Covers presented by Jennifer Stolzer and Brad R. Cook
July 13, 2019 The Lodge Des Peres 10am to Noon
Yes, readers do judge a book by its cover.
Join illustrator and book cover artist Jennifer Stolzer and book cover designer Brad R. Cook as they discuss the fictional publishing career of Destinee Amore, and her journey from truly horrific book covers to book covers that make her novels fly off the shelf. Along the way, Jennifer and Brad will present a number of fictional book covers, in various genres, demonstrating why some are bad, some are vile, and others shine. Learn how to craft a book cover and the tools needed to construct one of your own.
10 a.m. to noon, July 13, at The Lodge Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Rd., St. Louis, MO, 63131. Free to St. Louis Writers Guild members; $5 for nonmembers.
