Workshops for Writers - July 12: The Power of the Pod

Join the St. Louis Writers Guild from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CDT on Saturday, July 12, 2025, for a free workshop with author and podcaster Nicki Jacobsmeyer on everything you’ve ever wanted to know about podcasts.

Our presenter, Nicki Jacobsmeyer, will join us live, in-person for this FREE workshop. We will gather at The Lodge Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Rd., St. Louis, MO, 63131 for the presentation, or you may attend the meeting online. To do so, follow the event link from the St. Louis Writers Guild website.

Discover how podcasts can boost your visibility, credibility, and community connection—whether you're hosting your own show or guesting on others. We’ll cover the benefits of podcasting, how to land guest spots, what makes a great guest, and more. Bring your questions!

Nicki Jacobsmeyer is the co-host and partner of the Way-Word Writers Podcast, a community that supports and encourages established writers. She is also a certified career coach, speaker, and business professional. In addition, Nicki writes fiction and non-fiction for children and adults.

She has two forthcoming nonfiction children’s books, Tales on Trails (Arcadia Children’s Books, Summer 2026) and The Ghostly Tales of St. Charles: Spooky America (Arcadia Children’s Books, July 22, 2025). She is the author of Kentucky’s Packhorse Librarians: Images of America (Arcadia Publishing, 2025), and others. She is represented by Senior Agent Heather Cashman of Storm Literary.

Besides reading and writing, Nicki loves travel, knitting, the outdoors, sunsets, family barbecues, and watching a storm approach as she sits on her front porch.
