Membership
SLWG annual memberhips run from June 1 through May 31.
Renewal dues must be paid before June 1 to avoid disruption of member benefits.
St. Louis Writers Guild is one of the oldest and most prestigious writers' organizations in the country. See our WHO ARE WE? page to learn about our outstanding legacy. You do not need to live in St. Louis to join SLWG. We have members from across the country.
We welcome writers of all genres and experience levels to join us. Our members are diverse and include authors that are prolifically published and internationally acclaimed, as well as some with modest publishing accomplishments (so far!). Some of our members are seeking their first publisher or just getting started with their writing, and we even have some that do not seek publication at all, but simply enjoy writing and the company of writers. SLWG offers something for everyone. As an organization, we encourage publication as deserved recognition for the hard work of writing, and also because publishing one's work helps to further our literary heritage--that's part of our mission. SLWG vigorously promotes its members and their work. No matter where you are in your writing career, you have friends here.
We accept applications and payments online and at every lecture, workshop, and open mic.
