Advertising News and Events
MEMBERS are required to post their own news on our Blog. Then they may send a link to the post to: news@stlwritersguild.org and/or webmaster@stlwritersguild.org.
NONPROFITS: Please send a ready-to-post paragraph, ideally typed directly onto your email form. (We are sorry, but we cannot use .PDF flyers or emails with embedded graphics.) Limit words to no more than 150 and include all details, including cost and the zip code for the venue so that interested persons can obtain directions. Direct event notices to news@stlwritersguild.org.
Advertising Your Book in SLWG's Here's News! e-Newsletter
Each issue of Here's News! prominently features one book that has been authored by a St. Louis Writers Guild member.
Members
There is no charge to SLWG members for promoting their books in our newsletter. Moreover, SLWG will also promote the books of members who volunteer (Members of Distinction) on our website's Home page.
Members' ads are limited to one per year. Each ad runs for one calendar month, during which the newsletter is released 2-4 times, depending on timing of events and amount of news content. Every ad will run a minimum of two issues.
Non-Members
Additionally, SLWG promotes the books of non-member authors for a modest fee of $40 per insertion--up to four insertions per year maximum. Each ad runs for one calendar month, during which the newsletter is released 2-4 times, depending on timing of events and amount of news content. Every ad will run a minimum of two issues.
All ads are designed by SLWG and require submission of the following information:
- Book cover art (.jpeg image)
- Brief 1-3 sentence description
- ISBN
- Link to bookseller(s) for purchase
If your book is available from either of our affiliates, Barnes & Noble and/or Left Bank Books, we must link to their websites for sales. If the book is not available from our affiliates, please state name of other vendor and provide a link to purchase online. You must accept online payments. We do not link to email addresses or provide phone numbers or mailing addresses.
To Purchase an Ad:
Step 1: Submit ad information to: news@stlwritersguild.org. Please type BOOK AD in the subject line of your email and include the above necessary information about your book.
Step 2: Once you receive approval for your ad, purchase ad for $40
Following receipt of payment, ads will be scheduled for publication on a first-come, first-served basis.
