1764: A Literary Journal

St. Louis was founded in 1764 by Chouteau and Laclede. To celebrate their adventurous spirit and excellent forethought, the members of St. Louis Writers Guild voted to name the new literary journal in their honor. 1764: A Literary Journal looks to explore the world around us through words. For the first issue, SLWG is seeking to showcase excellent writing from members, as well as writers from across the United States.

All writers over age 18 as of May 1 of the current year are eligible to submit. Entries will be chosen by Selection Committee. To submit, please have a completed, unpublished work in standard manuscript format. Submissions to 1764: A Literary Journal are open from May 1 to July 31 of the current year. You may submit as many works as you wish, but no more than one piece from each author will be selected. There is no fee to enter, but all submissions must be submitted via email in a Word.doc or Word.docx file.
